While I'd never get a tattoo in real life, this was a project from my Typography Methods class where we had to design one and then Photoshop it onto our body and make it look realistic.
I have included all the sketches of my process from beginning to the final design which I cleaned up on Illustrator.
First we had to draw 20 different symbols, words, phrases, etc., then narrow it down to 5 (the starred ones on my sketches) and out of that 5 pick our favorite, and then do 20 of the favorite. After that we had to pick another favorite. Once we did that we had to refine it even more until we got our desired design. And then we had to either make a temporary tattoo of it or photoshop it onto the desired location on the body.
